Theo, I got your message a few days ago. I tried to email you using
theo@cs.vu.nl but our mail server said Host Unknown. Anyhow, if you read this
, thanks for the advice and I will be trying it fairly soon. As for ncc, I 
could not find it, so I will try gcc and bcc. Now that I think of it, the
leadup to the curses package did say that it would compile with the ACK or 
bcc compiler. I suppose I thought that the standard compiler was an ACK one.
Obviously I did not know what ACK meant! I will let you know if all goes well.
