Well David, I think that it is about time you explained yourself a bit better. I've been using a beta test version of MS-DOS 5.00 and WIN3 on a 286 640K system for about three months and have had NO problems. In fact, I've noticed a performance improvement in WIN3. After the installation of 5.00, I backed everything up onto tape, and repartitioned/reformated the hard drive. - What is your hardware/network environment? - Are the 'missing' programs on your local hard disk or on a network drive? - WHY are you booting from a floppy diskette anyway??? If you are serious about solving this problem, then e-mail me and lets end this thread before it gets out of hand! -- Brad Willcott, ACSnet: bxw@ccadfa.cc.adfa.oz Computing Services, Internet: bxw@ccadfa.cc.adfa.oz.au Australian Defence Force Academy, UUCP:!uunet!munnari.oz.au!ccadfa.oz!bxw Northcott Dr. Campbell ACT Australia 2600 +61 6 268 8584 +61 6 268 8150 (Fax)
