I am looking for some information about the performances of each. We currently use GSS for plotting maps (state boundaries, highways etc.). In GSS we use polyline, polymarker, zoom in and zoom out, and some text information. The current implementation is slow, and memory extensive. We are looking for some graphics package which runs faster and consumes less memory (or possibly use memory above 640k). I would like to know the conversion effort required to go from GSS to Metawindows also.
