Greetings fellow software engineers!

I'm interested in comments/opinions/advice/flames regarding design &
development tools for real-time software.  (Does such an animal exist?)
Specifically, I'm interested in design methodologies that address
the problems of real-time and time-critical software systems, commercial 
tools (such as CASE) that target such systems.

If anyone can recommend books, products, videos, or seminars, I'd be most
appreciative.
