That's bull. Maybe if you would've read it properly. What he was LAUNCHING was ResEdit. You can drop a file on any file that can open it. The OS knows what kind of files another file can open by its FREF resources. This is impossible on the Amiga, of course, as they don't HAVE resources and have to store even icons in seperate files. This feature is VERY useful for ResEdit in particular because it can open any type of file, and you can drop any kind of file on it. There are also FREF types that tell the OS that you can drag volumes and folders (directories) on them as well.
