The information that System 7 uses for the drag-and-drop capability is the same information that links icons to files. So this capability works with existing applications. New applications are starting to take advantage of the wildcard capability. For example, the new version of DiskDoubler (a compression program) lets you drop any file on the app and it replaces the file with a compressed version (or uncompressed version as the case may be). -- Larry Rosenstein, Apple Computer, Inc. lsr@apple.com (or AppleLink: Rosenstein1)
