[ more about the os deleted ] The disassebly of the exec is very useful if for example your amiga hangs on bootup and has a yellow screen. Also disassembling of the ROM was necessary with the old hardware manual which didn't tell you what was the sign bit in blitter drawing (it was quite obvious afterall :-) and it was rather unclear on many other areas too (like MFM coding).
