I'd like to thank everyone who responded to my plea
for help with the Maxtor 1140.

I finally got it running, and am right now reloading the
last tape from backup.  The drive is great!!!  The only
annoying thing is the sounds it makes.  I am used to the
totally silent CDC drives standard on most 3B2's...
