You might actually find a way to contact LT from DL (probably not very hard). This book was recommended by my officemate George Michael who actually did program a Univac I. I recommend this MIT Press book as a fast read. Included are: Seymour Cray stories, the IBM memo on "how could a 34 person company make a machine faster than IBM?" and other stories. It offers lessons on running high tech companies. Inexpensive. Order from MIT Press bookstore. It was particularly amusing as my host for the weekend was from Xerox PARC (he wanted to give the book to all his Xerox execs). --eugene miya, NASA Ames Research Center, eugene@orville.nas.nasa.gov Resident Cynic, Rock of Ages Home for Retired Hackers {uunet, mailrus, other gateways}!ames!eugene
