Newsgroups: comp.sys.handhelds Subject: Help with inside of Casio fx-7000g Summary: How do you put it back together? =^) Message-ID: <285e5369.6422@polyslo.CalPoly.EDU> Date: 18 Jun 91 18:39:37 GMT Sender: news@petunia.CalPoly.EDU (Newsman) Distribution: na Organization: Cal Poly State University -- San Luis Obispo, CA 93407 Lines: 35 (Excuse me if this is posted twice - I lost my connection while Pnews was doing its work...) Some lint/dustballs got underneath the cover to my LCD screen (HOW??) and it has annoyed me for some time! So, with screw- driver in hand, I started tearing the thing apart thinking, "Now HOW many loose parts could a calculator HAVE??" Four? =^) (CASIO fx-7000G if ya missed the subject...) 1st question (which I think I got back together Ok, 'cause it turns on): In what order do the two plastic "thingies" go under the on/off switch? (And orientation..) 2nd question (a little more perplexing!): Where in the WORLD does the gold spring go and WHAT in the world is it for? At first I thought it belonged in the reset button hole, but it doesn't seem at home there. Anyway - The screen sure is nice and uncluttered now and it does work! But I'd rather use my 48sx anyway... =^) Thanks! Rich -- +-------------------------- ----+- - - ----- --------- - - - -- - + | rrauenza@PolySlo.CalPoly.EDU | Hi!
