As for the two plastic thingy's under the on off switch, they're the electrical part of the switch..... so if it works, you've obviously gotten it right. (i THINK there's some carbon on one side of both pieces, and that's supposed to go together..) The little gold spring is (I think) supposed to make electrical ground between the innards of the calc, and the case.. there should be a little hole in the black plastic that it goes in. Also on the pc board underneath that hole is a gold square that it makes contact with..(if you'd care to take it back apart again and find out. ;) Hopefully this will help..
