according to the user manual, modes 0x5c is 640x400x256 and mode 0x5d is
640x480x256. unfortunatly i cannot seem to activate either of these even
though the 512K DRAM is present. I have no problem with the 1024x768x16
mode or any others. does anyone else have this card?
  the only chip i could id other than the ram is: TVGA 8800CS
i've tried loading the RAM BIOS but still cannot get the two high-res
modes. any ideas? thanx
