Message-ID: <1991Jun18.153610.25714@capitol.com> Date: 18 Jun 91 15:36:10 GMT Organization: Capitol Disc Interactive Lines: 16 We currently have a MACIIfx which has blown 3 1.2G disk contoller boards (the onboard main controller cards). I found this out by taking a good controller off of another drive and installing it. My situation is that I have 3 large drives with LOTS of good data on them and I could do a quick board swap if I could get them (it takes about 5 minutes). The problem is that I can't get the cards from Seagate (they don't spare part the controller boards) and it costs $1000/drive to have the drives refurbished. Does anyone know a place that will fix these controllers?? I am sure that I won't be purchasing another drive from Seagate... -- Rob Hafey Capitol Disk Interactive (CD-I) 2121 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington D.C. 20007 (202)625-0141 hafey@capitol.com
