Memory error 2? Message-ID: <1991Jun17.195156.7970@agate.berkeley.edu> Date: 17 Jun 91 19:51:56 GMT Article-I.D.: agate.1991Jun17.195156.7970 Sender: usenet@agate.berkeley.edu (USENET Administrator) Distribution: usa Organization: University of California, Berkeley Lines: 16 Originator: c60c-2ia@web-1a.berkeley.edu I have a PC/XT compatible and I bought a expanded memory expansion card for the computer so I can take advantage of expanded memory. But recently I have had some strange problems which seems to come from the memory expansion board (Right now I have only 256K of expanded memory on that board). Sometimes when I use programs such as Manifest or Norton SI which trys to check how much expanded memory I have, the system will crash, screen goes blank and a message appears: "MEMORY ERROR 2"! If I just use Ctrl-Alt-Del to reboot, my system will come to the same error message again. So I need to use the reset button to reboot the machine. Does anyone know what is the problem? Can anyone help me? Please e-mail me at c60c-2ia@web.berkeley.edu Thanks in advance, Wei-Lun
