I own a 286 with 1Mo of mother board memory + 1.5Mo of extended memory on external card. This memory manager is HIMEM.SYS, version 2.77, I think (got on Simtel), and DOS 3.3. I use 4dos and would like to use the U option for loading some stuff in the HMA. Of course it doesn't work !!! I looked at the file COMPAT.DOC and saw I need something called QEMM or QMAX to allow HIMEM.SYS and 4DOS to use the HMA. Can somebody tell me what is QEMM ? do I need it ? Where can I find it ? In fact what can I do ?? Thanks. Herve Soulard.
