umm, you need a more explicit mail path ...

NetHack - for details read "rec.games.hack", if possible.
        - for mac binaries:  anonymous ftp (again, if possible) to
            linc.cis.upenn.edu {or 130.91.6.8}
            cd pub/NH3.0/mac

and get README.mac first ...
