I am in the market for a color monitor for my Mac IIcx. I am still debating between 8 and 24-bit. The Seiko 14" monitor seems to be my current favorite (though I've had a hard time finding a place where I could actually see one in action, it has gotten a lot of good press on the net and elsewhere), with the Apple 13" a close second. My main question: The Seiko is a 14" monitor, but does it have more pixels than the Apple 13" (or is it just sort of stretched out)? My second question: video cards... the only ones I seem to see advertised are the RasterOps (not counting the Apple cards). Are there others? What are the differences? Has anyone had any good/bad experience with one kind or another? Are the System 7 issues that come into play (I still run 6.0.5, but am planning for the future!)? Thanks in advance for any/all help! -EricF -- Eric R. Feigenson UUCP: mit-eddie!progress!erf Progress Software Corp. Internet: erf@progress.com 5 Oak Park Bedford, MA 01730
