Here's the situation. I need a 40MB external drive for a MacPlus which currently has no hard drive. I also own a MacClassic with the Apple-supplied 40MB internal drive. What I'd like to do is purchase a larger external hard drive (say, 80-105MB) and swap the drive mechanisms, putting the larger drive in the Classic and the smaller drive in the now-empty external case for use with the Plus. Any idea if this can be done? Problems I should look out for? Useful tips or techniques? Answers especially welcome from those who may have actually done this, as I distrust 'theoretical' answers 8-).
