Thanks to those who sent me mail. A Mac *will* boot of a HP7958S 160Meg
disk, but the latter has a truly astronomical reset time (10-15 seconds) which
is why the SE/30 was always timing it out. Leaving the internal disk unmounted
fixed the problem (apart from the 10 second wait...).
