Message-ID: <2455@talos.npri.com> Date: 20 Jun 91 13:51:31 GMT Organization: NPRI, Alexandria VA Lines: 13 For the past year or so, I've been having trouble with various elements associated with Parameter RAM. I have a Mac Plus w/ 4Meg (System 6.*), and yes, I checked for viruses. The symptoms began when the clock started to lose time. Then, about once a week, all the parameters would get hit and I'd have to reset time, cache, etc. completely. Although the battery wasn't that old, I replaced it, and now the parameters seem fine but the clock is still slipping at the rate of about 30 minutes a week. Is the chip going bad? Should I worry? Is this indicative of a larger problem? Thanks in advance... eric@npri.com --------------- OR ------------------- ...uunet!uupsi!npri6!eric Eric C.
