Message-ID: <2894@otc.otca.oz> Date: 18 Jun 91 05:23:05 GMT Sender: news@otc.otca.oz Reply-To: elson@otc.otca.oz.au (Elson Markwick) Organization: OTC Development Unit, Australia Lines: 20 We are trying to get a Hypercard stack running that involves MacTCP calls. The problem is that I can't seem to get timeouts to work properly (at all :-). OK, so I've put a value in the ULP time-out byte of the parameter block (byte 32), and set the validity bits (byte 34) to 0xC0. Nothing changes - machine just appears to hang during say a TCPSend, if the ethernet is broken, and won't come back until the ethernet is reconnected. FYI - we are using Hypercard 2.0v2, MacTCP 1.0 Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Any help greatly appreciated.
