I'm looking for information concerning Mac hardware/sofware solutions for barcode scanners, preferably of the point- and-shoot gun type as opposed to the pen-style gadgets. I'm attempting to set up an inventory system for computer equipment at the Science Center and we'd like to use the existing barcodes on new equipment. Please include information on hardware & software costs, Mac types supported (i.e. plus, II series, Classic), vendors, and interfaces used. Replies directly to me, please, since I don't regularly read this group. If there's interest I can summarize.
