	The answer to this question is yes -- there are some docs for gas(1).
They are a bit old, but they serve the purpose.  You may find them under
the file /pub/gnu/gas/gas-docs.tar.Z at tut.cis.ohio-state.edu.  Ross.

PS: I have no idea why these weren't at prep.ai.mit.edu; isn't that the
main GNU ftp site?
