The system no longer thrashes at the hard drive whenever I have more than one application loaded up. The power of the 68040 is finally showing through! I strongly recommend this upgrade to all owners of the 12MB NeXTstation Colour. It is worth every penny of it. EPS and Scott have been right all along (re: more RAM = better performance), and I have been a strong believer in that philosophy which has proven its worth today! I got my RAM from South Coast Electronics (714-669-9503). They have the 1MBx32-bit SIMM required by the NeXTstation Colour. The retail price for the 8MB NeXTstation Colour RAM kit is around $600 (less if you are a reseller). BEWARE: Adding memory to the NeXTstation Colour is NOT an easy task. The sockets are quite stiff and you can easily damage them if you don't know what you're doing. Pay a certified techie to do it for you if you are not sure of your abilities.
