Message-ID: <1991Jun17.084818.1@vaxb.acs.unt.edu> Date: 17 Jun 91 14:48:18 GMT Sender: usenet@sol.acs.unt.edu (Sol Usenet Administrator) Organization: University of North Texas Lines: 28 Greetings! After upgrading from 3.1 to 3.11 this weekend (and it went *very* smoothly, I might add), we've come up with some interesting tidbits of info that Novell failed to mention about the software. The most important is that the new MENU.EXE provided on the distribution disks takes up a whopping 93K (!!!) of memory to run. Needless to say, a lot of our users have been calling this morning unable to load Word Perfect, unable to print, unable to do a giant list of things that depend on memory. We've copied MENU.EXE off of our 2.15C server and it appears to be functioning a lot more reasonably (only 14K memory used). Our users can print, load WP, etc., etc., etc. Has anyone else run into problems running older versions of MENU on 3.11? Does anyone know why MENU.EXE 3.11 takes up so much memory??? Thanks for your cinsideration, time, and bandwidth. :) }lips ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eric N.
