     seeing all this mail has me wondering. Were there patches posted for
   1.5h.01 ? Are they on an archive ? What changed w.r. to 1.5h.00 ?

Well, I must take the blame for the 00 -> 01.  They are minior changes
to fix some things I broke between 1.5 and 1.5h, mainly v*printf.  The
diffs are on willow.cs.wwu.edu and are available for anonymous ftp.
They should be in pub/minix532 and I think it is called diffs1.  If you
don't have ftp access, I'll mail you the diffs.
