(Hardcopy is still best for some things). Problem is, we haven't a manual. It's working, it selftests, and local echo typing also works...but I can't get it to send to or receive from the Sun. Yes, I kill -1 1'ed after adding /dev/ttya to the ttytab file, and I used the "Console-1200" entry (which was listed as a "DECWriter III" in gettytab), and it just plain doesn't work. I think the problem is with the "Modem/Protocol" and "Parity/Data bits" settings on the DEC, but with no manual, I can't tell what to set them to. Help, please? Can anyone mail me what the settings are, or something? --Chris -- Christopher Davis | ELECTRONIC MAIL WORDS OF WISDOM #5: System Manager & Postmaster | "Internet mail headers are Electronic Frontier Foundation | not unlike giblets." +1 617 864 0665 | -- Paul Vixie
