Message-ID: <54172@apple.Apple.COM> Date: 19 Jun 91 19:06:15 GMT Sender: morley@Apple.COM Organization: Apple Computer Inc, Cupertino, CA Lines: 15 In article 5191 someone asked what the following file was on their A/UX 2.0.1 system: -rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 26197 May 14 11:32 /usr/bin/patch This is a post-processor which the A/UX C++ Language (aka Cfront) uses to fixup binaries after the link phase. I would guess that it was created by installing the C++ Language from the A/UX Developer's Tools 1.0Beta CD. The name of the file was chosen by AT&T, so any flames about name space conflict should be directed appropriately. -- John Morley, "No matter where you go, there you are."
