Could those who are using (or have used) AIX PS/2 *please* give me some insights into its reliability, portability, etc. etc. Of particular concern is the performance of X11 on e.g. a 20MHz 80386 with 16 MB RAM. I will be the sole user, so X11 will more than likely be the most demanding program running at any given time. Also, any comments regarding difficulties in compiling "common" PD UNIX tools such as Perl, RCS, and the GNU stuff would be very helpful. Thanks in advance for all you AIX people who help me in this! ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Patrick Stickler Research Unit for Computational Linguistics OH2/KC4YYY Department of General Linguistics stickler@cc.helsinki.fi University of Helsinki ========================================================================== The comments contained herein reflect the official views of my employer.
