Edit the "physmem" field located in /sys/conf/mips/HOSTNAME
and give it the number of Megabytes of RAM you have, for instance, if
you had originally 16 MB and added two 8MB boards, you now have 32MB:

physmem   32

Then rebuild your kerel and reboot.
