I am trying to do unattended backups during the night and want to test the images on tape. I have scripts to capture and analyse the result of a "restore -t", but it all fails when 'restore' can not open /dev/tty. The 'restore' program does not really need '/dev/tty' for this, but someone forgot to allow non-interactive operations. I will post a summary if any solutions are told to me. thank you all, Arthur Protin Arthur Protin These are my personal views and do not reflect those of my boss or this installation.
