How many of you are going to Seattle August 12th for the win3.1 professional developer's conference? Send me some mail--it'd be fun to meet for lunch or something. I'll wait a few weeks then post a list of everybody who responded. For those not on the MS Developers mailing list, MS is putting on a 2 day conf for developers (quote "this is not a marketing meeting. There will be no neck ties, no sales presentations and little tolerence for beginners!"). For $400, the entire 20-man windows development team will supposedly be there to give classes on new features (OLE, truetype, drag-drop, future 32bit, new tools, etc). Everyone attending is also supposed to get the 3.1 beta SDK, several tools (like dr. watson), and a CD of all (? not sure..) the MS "white papers." (I think the white papers are the things with the long part numbers the support people sometimes refer you too). dave dave@wucs1.wustl.edu the mira corporation phone (314) 434-4343
