folks,

  with regards to programming for both presentation manager and motif
  (among others), i received several requests to post the name of a
  meta-window system that one could program in independent of window
  system.  

  we have only heard about this product and have not tried it.  i hope
  that this is not construed as advertising.  the product that we had
  heard about is commonview by glockenspiel.
