Sometimes I think A.L.S. is harder on those it leaves behind, namely the surviving family members. I'm 35 years old and because of my wifes inability to cope, I was abandoned in an extended care hospital. She has in affect divorced me and has forgotten me in here. I think I'm coping with this disease much better than her. Her way of coping is not thinking about it. I'm very glad to hear you are interested in providing information. That's a big start. I'm compiling names of patients now and will be working on writing a questionnaire to gather data. Can you kindly send me your mailing address?
