As far as your message goes. Your point about senior citizens is, in a way, a good one, although so many folks, even younger people, have managed to save here and there, and it would be impossible to keep track of who's got money and who doesn't. Basically, senior citizens, in my opinion, deserve a break because they've lived longer than me and have worked and paid their dues. i also want to say that I don't give myself any tax breaks just because I don't see. As far as paying for services you can't use, I kind of see your point, except that -- don't we all in some way pay for a service we can't use. Yes, it's true that my tax money goes for things i can never benefit from. In my opinion, that does not entitle me to a discount on a bus or train. My taxes go for things that not only can't I use, but don't believe in either, like the military. Sure wish I could do something about that.
