This magazine focuses on spinal injury and mobility impairments. This quarterly magazine has an array of special advertisements specifically for disabled person. And the back of the magazine has many "personals" and "for sale" ads. (How about the ad for a '89 Ford van with elevator lift for $12,000??? Wow! Those start at $35,000!) To get ahold of them write to: Spinal Network Magazine PO Box 4162 Boulder Colorado 80306 (303 449 5412) or for orders of their books (of which they have MANY on disability related subjects) with MC or Visa call: 1 800 338 5412 By the way, they sell my book, "With the Power of Each Breath; A Disabled Women's Anthology there and it can be ordered by calling that number. This magazine contains many cartoons by that baudacious Callahan. And many of the articles are of great note. The Spring 1991 edition features "Family Matters", issues of disabled persons having raising and adopting children. The Winter 1991 edition was on substance abuse and the wheelchair user. Others have included the incarcerated wheelchair user and another was on spinal research. This is worth looking at. -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!278!632!Tzipporah.Benavraham Internet: Tzipporah.Benavraham@f632.n278.z1.fidonet.org
