I carry it with me in my van. Folds up to fit in back. Extends to approximately 6 feet I believe. I do not use it very much anymore except when visiting someone who lives up steps. Was a necessity when I got out of rehab as I could never have gotten into my parents home or my girlfriend's. They are made of lightweight aluminum.
