I was elated to discover it, as I'm thinking seriously of buying minix this fall. Unfortunately, I never did get the diskette to boot. I would start copying things to a RAM disk, and get varying amounts ofthe way through that pro- cess, and the kernel would panic (I think it said -4 process). I have and AT clone manufactured by Hyosung with Award BIOS, and Intel 286, a Western Digital disk controller, and a Seagate 20 MB hard disk. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm a little hesitant to buy the whole operating system when the demo won't boot. I know Andy T. says not to worry, but I do. Mike wagner@cs.unc.edu
