Lines: 23 We are doing some work with system V release 4. I have threaded the maze of symbolic links and have figured out where everything went from release 3 to release 4 (I think :-) ). My problem is twofold: [1] Can you setup the uucpd to run across the ethernet? I have RTFM and our implementation doen't match AT&T's docs. My sysadm menus for uucp are missing and the Systems file doesn't have enough enough for me to figure out the names for Device's. [2] I can get uucp to run between two systems on a direct connect, no problem. As soon as I switch them to modems I get the uucp error for connection refused after login. (RLOGIN -- or whatever). Permissions must be okay. I all works direct connect just not over modems. Did V.4 add something to the Permssions file for modems? I have the Nutshell Book for Managing UUCP and I don't find anything in there to point to the problem. I have managed and used machines with uucp links for years. This one has me completely baffled? Any ideas. Please email me. Oh the hardware: Commodore Amiga 3000's running System V Release 4.
