Message-ID: <9106231710.AA04232@ws-30.cae.wisc.edu> Date: 23 Jun 91 17:10:03 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Lines: 22 Hi... I've owned an Avatex 2400 baud modem for a fair numbers of years now, and there's one question about it that I've never had answered: What do the DIP switches on the bottom do?! There are 6 switches down there, and, after searching through the manual many times over, I am positive that the manual fails to even mention their existence. Seeing as how this is a Hayes compatible modem, I'm wondering is that compatibility extends to DIP switches. Do Hayes modems have 6 DIP switches? If so, what do they do? If you can help me with this, please respond in e-mail. Thanks! ---Joel Kolstad kolstad@cae.wisc.edu
