Message-ID: <1991Jun25.190712.409@chewi.che.wisc.edu> Date: 26 Jun 91 01:07:11 GMT Organization: Univ of Wisc, Dept of Chem Engr Lines: 19 Concerning the recent discussion about fortran, PCs and arrays with sizes bigger than 1MB, I have the following questions: + Is the MS-Fortran 5.0 or 5.1 support (either with DOS/Win3.0 or with OS/2) arrays with sizes larger than 1MB and code with more than 1MB (I know that I need a 386sx, 386, 486sx, 486 to achieve that) + If not, is there any FORTRAN compiler that can achieve that under OS/2 or plaion DOS (i.e without having to pay a serious amount of money for a DOS extended like Phar Laps or OS/386) Your response (either in the NEWS or by e-mail) will be greatly appreciated since I am considering of buying a 32-bit machine for doing heavy FP programming.
