Elm 2.4 has a wild card listing option on the change folder prompt.

If the folder to change to has a wild card in it, 2.4 will
run ls -C "%s" (the file name) on it (=prefixes will change
dirs to the folder directory first)

This will scroll (not page) out the list of possible files.
