Last week I tried a post of this to comp.os.msdos.misc
and didn't get any bites, so here goes.

Running two simple DOS apps (FC & FORMAT) I got the
omnious error message "Entended error 4" and 
"Extended error 2". What the heck are these? I RTFM
to no avail. Before I spend $$$ calling the Microsoft
black hole I ask for the net's help.
