At this point I have yet to see any scanned input. I think the problem may be a conflict getween the modem (Comm2 0x2E8) and the scanner (com4 0x2EC - so the skimpy docs say). I intend to experiment and remove the modem temporarily. If the scanner starts working, I will want to move the modem to serial port Comm1. Can a mouse/trackball and a modem share comm1 or maybe comm1 & comm3 ? I can map the modem using switches to comm3 and my comm software can use any port or address (software configurable). Bob Rager
