Anyone know the details about a Cipher Model #540 tape unit?

The brief discription I have is that it is  5-1/4" full height tape
unit that uses DC-300 / DC-600 carts for 40/60 MB. So, my guess is
that this thing a little on the old side.

What is the interface? SCSI? Maybe?  QIC format, or what?
