Yes, the archives are kept on host NIC.DDN.MIL (network address
26.0.0.73 or 192.67.67.20).  Archives exist for all years since 1983
and can be retrieved via anonymous FTP.  Files containing archives for
years 1983 through 1989 follow the filename format

  namedroppers:namedroppers.yy

For the last couple of years there have been too many messages during
the year to fit into one file.  Those archives can be found in files
following the filename format

  namedroppers:namedroppers.yymmdd

To see a complete list of available filenames after you've made an FTP
connection, type "cd namedroppers:" then use the "ls" or "dir"
command.
