Just how many machines, pray tell, >can handle PICT resources directly? How did you go about converting the PICTs? I just opened a PICT out of the game Diamonds (I don't have Crystal Quest) with ResEdit, copy-and-pasted it into PixelPaint Pro. To speed things up I'd use CanOpener to yank all the PICTs out of Crystal Quest and then use something to convert the PICT files to GIF, color TIFF or whatever. I think the Sun I'm logged into can read PICT files and produce a number of other formats from them, and if I remember correctly, the Hijak (sp?) software can convert from PICTs on the PC. (Most of this is hypothetical. I would send the file to the Amiga as an 8 bit GIF probably and let the Amiga deal with getting it into the target format.)
