We are at CDN$273....With GST and PST plus your local price, can you beat that? I don't know what duty would be, 2.5% was a guess, but you can bring in up to $400 per person duty-free if you stay in the states 48 hours I believe...And the way the border is grossly backed up with Canadians bringing stuff back, sometimes they don't even bother with duty...Same with the US side, but it is lazyness, not hundreds of people waiting to be processed that causes them not to bother... Check your premise that it is always cheaper...Add artifical costs like the GST that we don't pay here...Even state sales tax in Michigan is 1/2 of Ontario's Provincial 8% sales tax....If I am wrong, please correct me...But generally the logic is correct, its just the premise thats wrong... How much is SCRAM in Canada? Is it REALLY ALWAYS THAT much cheaper??? How would it compair for me to cross the boarder and buy it and bring it back from Windsor?? Take your Canadian dollars and divide them by 1.14 to get US Dollars...Don't worry about duty... Plus, installation is of course, ALWAYS extra, and you're not going to lug a $2995 MSRP computer across the border to have work done to it...My assumptions are all on "install yourself", and putting ram in the A3000 yourself isn't easy...I was taking mine apart saying, "Why didn't I pay someone to do this?!"
