Message-ID: <1991Jun21.142413.1466@en.ecn.purdue.edu> Date: 21 Jun 91 14:24:13 GMT Organization: Purdue University Engineering Computer Network Lines: 29 Is anyone using one of the Golem SCSI II Controllers with an Amiga 1000? I am considering dumping my Supra controller if the Golem will work properly with an accelerated (030) system and at the performance levels claimed (1.42MB/sec). If anyone has one of these things... 1) How much does it cost? 2) Does it slow down the system a lot during access? Like when the harddrive runs, the system essentially comes to a halt. 3) Is the Seagate 296N on their HD support list? 4) Does it auto-boot on a ROM based machine? 5) Does it function 100% with a 68030 @ 20Mhz machine? 6) Overall, how do you like it? Sorry for all of the questions, but I want first hand experiences. *********************************************************** * Jeff Davis * Relax!
