It might be interesting to see more Amiga source from CA, but with a vast population of hackers out there, and very little communication between software providers and users, then being able to get source would just produce a real maintainance nightmare for Commodore and others. The statements from your (old/previous) friends/? at Commodore suggests that team software developement by them, is non existant or has some other problems, or was it that you were too inexperienced to ask/know about the rules. I help support some software products for Vax VMS, and in one case we use nonpublic info to make our software appear better integrated, but we have to remember that at each new release of the DEC system software we may have to fix our software and ship it to all our customers,fortunatily there are few customer (not >2,000,000) and DEC's software is very stable in the area where we cheated. Lets stop this thread about public source for Commodore software and get on with the real issues to make these systems greater. Clive.
